“I love when Frollo quotes the Bible, saying, "and he shall smite the wicked and plunge them into the firey pits of hell”. It’s the first time Frollo directly misuses the word of God to justify his hateful agenda, and his symbolic death and the hint of divine intervention that plays the catalyst (the previously static gargoyle coming to life), gives me hope that the audience realizes people like Frollo are not Christians and are only damning themselves when they use God to preach their own hate.
